What You Can Expect

The Sales Team Lead is responsible for leading a team of sales reps within a territory to meet budgeted sales goals. This position will drive sales growth utilizing communication skills, knowledge of Zimmer Biomet products, and in-person meetings to assist current customers and secure new customers. This position reports to the Regional Sales Manager/Director within a defined territory or region. The Sales Team Lead is responsible for building an effective sales pipeline and assisting team members with building their sales pipeline which will result in booked sales. Also responsible for timely follow up, management and distribution of leads in his or her assigned region under guidance from the RSM/RSD or TGM.

How You’ll Create Impact
  • Promotes team spirit and team success, especially in his or her assigned sales region, ensuring team sales targets on a monthly and quarterly basis are being met through proper training, coaching and management.
  • Plans, coordinates, and executes local educational and sales events that will augment the business and help to deliver budgeted sales goals.
  • Utilizes sales system to manage and track leads, and report on daily customer sales activity and non-customer prospecting activities.
  • Communicates with Regional Sales Leaders and other internal functions to ensure voice of customer is heard by internal departments. Reports on competitor and customer activities in the field.
  • Builds strong relationships with key surgeons while having the ability to cover Reconstructive, Extremities, CAS, Surgical, Sports Medicine and Trauma procedures with clinical proficiency and business acumen.
  • Strictly adheres to all policies and SOPs regarding the interaction with HCP (Health Care Professionals), product handling and complaints, expense reporting, sales activities and training.
  • Supports Zimmer Biomet sales by sharing knowledge, ideas and references.
  • Develops relationships with product support personnel.
  • Collaborate with and provide sales support and case coverage for team and/or territory, which includes the transportation of Zimmer Biomet instruments and implants for day, evening, add on or weekend cases.

Your Background
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Minimum of 5 years sales experience in medical device, preferably upper extremities
  • or a minimum of 8 years’ proven sales experience in the medical device industry.
  • A combination of education and experience will be considered.
Travel Expectations

Up to 95% predominantly by car - depending on territory 0% to 20% overnight stays as well as air travel might be required

This role has a salary range of $275,000-$300,000
