Job description
TheDepartment of Biomedical Engineering at Wayne State has 9 tenure-track facultyand 2 teaching faculty, with an NAE member and over 2.1M in annual researchexpenditure. The Department is home to one of the top programs in the countryfor Injury Biomechanics. The Department offers an ABET accredited B.S. degree;several M.S. degree programs (traditional and online), including an M.S. in InjuryBiomechanics; a Graduate Certificate in Injury Biomechanics; and a Ph.D. in BiomedicalEngineering or Biomedical Imaging. Currently, we have approximately 130undergraduate students, 45 M.S. and 25 Ph.D. students. The department iscommitted to building a diverse faculty preeminent in its missions of research,teaching, and service to the community. Candidates who have experience engaging with diverse faculty, staff, and students, and contributing to an inclusive environment may share their perspectives on these subjects in their application materials.
Located in MidtownDetroit, the Department of Biomedical Engineering inthe James and Patricia Anderson College of Engineering at Wayne State University(WSU) invites applications for an open-rank tenure-track faculty position,beginning in Fall 2026.
