This position is part of Novanta's ATI Industrial Automation business unit. ATI is the world's leading developer of robotic end of arm technologies. Primary Responsibilities
  • Design and debug test hardware that is used to calibrate and test industrial robot tooling and subassemblies.
  • Develop test plans and procedures
  • Write test instructions.
  • Conduct functional and environmental testing of electronic components for industrial robot tooling.

Required Experience, Education, Skills, Training and Competencies
  • Ability to read schematics.
  • Good understanding of analog and digital circuitry.
  • Ability to troubleshoot down to the component level.
  • Ability to solder.
  • Experience with standard measurement and test equipment.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to convey technical information well.
  • Due to ITAR compliance, this position requires candidates to be a US citizen or green card holder
  • Min. GPA of 3.2

Management prefers:
  • Experience with Orcad Capture for schematics entry.
  • Experience with Spice simulation.
  • Experience with Agilent data acquisition systems.

Housing
  • Fully furnished housing is provided at no cost to the student if they live out of state.

  • The salary for this role will range from $37,430 to $50,000 annually based on full-time employment. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to location, relevant skills, training, experience, education, etc.
  • Certain roles may be eligible for performance-based incentive compensation and/or long-term incentives. Incentives could be discretionary or non-discretionary depending on the plan.
