The Raleigh, NC office of Dewberry is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern for Summer 2026. This position performs assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities, requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related engineering tasks.

This individual will work in a multi-discipline, team environment with primary responsibility of assisting with the design and production of electrical construction documents for commercial and institutional projects as well as the design of building systems (power distribution and lighting) and life safety plans for various infrastructure projects.


  • Pursuing a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering required.
  • Previous internship experience in electrical engineering is preferred.
  • Applicants should have exposure to related electrical engineering design, strong leadership and communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
  • Prepare electrical engineering calculations, reports, construction drawings and specifications to meet project requirements. 
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and REVIT and good working knowledge of MS Word and Excel required.
