Job Title: 3D Printed Part Finisher – 3D Printing
Location: Research Triangle Park, NC (Onsite, locals only)
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
We are seeking a 3D Printed Part Finisher to join BD’s Digital Engineering 3D Printing & Prototyping team in Research Triangle Park, NC. In this role, you will be responsible for cleaning, finishing, and inspecting 3D printed parts used in the development of next-generation medical devices. This is a hands-on role that requires strong attention to detail, excellent hand dexterity, and the ability to work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities include:
Cleaning and hand-finishing 3D printed parts using standard techniques (sanding, filing, painting, dyeing).
Using precision measurement tools (digital calipers, GOM) to ensure accuracy.
Performing routine maintenance of 3D printing equipment.
Reviewing CAD model files (Magics or similar).
Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized lab environment.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma required.
1+ year experience with 3D printed part post-processing or machining.
Familiarity with 3D printing technologies (SLA, Carbon/DLS, DLP, PolyJet, FFF) preferred.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
