Hitting Trainer - (Baseball/Softball) Perfect Performance NOVA (Tysons Corner, VA)
Part-Time - Hourly

Description
Perfect Performance is the premiere player development facility in the DMV area. We offer athletes the latest in hitting development paired with strength, therapy and education to achieve results. Our brand new facility will house two 70 ft cages, one 60 ft cages and and state of the art performance gym.
Hitting trainers will report directly to the Director of Baseball. Hitting trainers will work with multiple athletes in a competitive and data driven small group training environment. The athletes we work with range from middle school, high school, collegiate and professional players who are all committed to being the best versions of themselves both on and off the field. All in-coming trainers and coaches will receive a comprehensive onboarding course that all Hitting Academy hires receive. This onboarding course extensively covers topics such as anatomy & physiology, biomechanics, kinesiology, advanced analytics, and our organizational hitting philosophy. Developing our coaching staff is just as high a priority as developing our hitters, as no one is a finished product.
We are looking for talented and forward thinking coaches from a variety of backgrounds with knowledge in hitting, strength and kinesiology. If you are eager to learn, provide creative solutions to complex problems and passionate about developing hitters, then this is the place for you.
Job Requirements
  • Facilitating a great training floor environment
  • Design and execute hitting programs for individual athletes
  • Utilize and interpret data from HitTrax, Blast Motion & High Speed Video
  • Administrative Duties: Athlete scheduling, Progress Tracking, Hitter Presentations
  • Computer Literate and proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Docs
Physical Requirements
Candidates for the position should be able to lift 100 pounds unassisted and repeatedly throughout the workday. Physical requirements of the position include frequent walking around, demonstrating and assisting with exercise, throwing and lifting movements; bending, throwing, stretching, lifting, pushing, pulling and squatting.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent leadership and verbal communication skills
  • 1+ season of coaching experience for a High school or College baseball or softball team/program (or strength and conditioning)
  • Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist or equivalent
  • A history of independent learning
  • Creative solutions to unique training situations and limitations
