These skills ensure the safe, efficient, and environmentally compliant operation of biomass power facilities.

What is a biomass plant?

A biomass plant is a facility that generates energy by burning organic materials such as wood chips, agricultural waste, or dedicated energy crops. Instead of relying on fossil fuels, biomass plants use renewable biological sources to produce electricity and sometimes heat. The process involves converting the chemical energy stored in organic matter into usable power, often with lower net carbon emissions compared to traditional power plants. Biomass plants play an important role in sustainable energy strategies and can help reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
