What You'll Do: Decision Analytics Associate Consultant in Discovery will...
  • Apply hands-on expertise in advanced multi-omics data analysis to solve novel challenges across the life sciences industry
  • Utilize advanced bioinformatics techniques to analyze and interpret complex multi-omics datasets, providing actionable insights to address challenges in the life sciences sector
  • Design, develop, and implement robust bioinformatics pipelines and workflows tailored to client-specific needs, ensuring efficient and rigorous data processing and analysis
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including researchers, data scientists and project managers to integrate your deep understanding of bioinformatics into broader project objectives
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in specific area or application of bioinformatics, to drive innovation, mentor colleagues and share knowledge across teams
  • Engage with clients to understand their challenges, present analytical findings, and offer strategic recommendations
  • Develop and share insights based on ZS-driven bioinformatics innovations, positioning them within broader industry trends to inform internal teams and external stakeholders

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's or master's degree required in any discipline with strong record of academic success in quantitative and analytic coursework such as operations research, applied mathematics, management science, data science, statistics, econometrics or engineering.
  • 2-4 years of relevant post-collegiate job experience. A PhD may substitute in lieu of work experience.
  • Familiarity and comfort across many applications of human bioinformatics and computational biology in addition to deep and demonstrated leadership in one or more of the following:
    • Large-scale genomic and multi-omics data analysis including GWAS, PheWAS, Molecular QTL analysis, MR, PRS, etc.
    • Multi-omics data analysis and integration applied to oncology, immunology, cardiometabolic health or neurodegeneration
    • Single-cell and spatial omics
    • Functional genomics, epigenomics and systems biology
    • Flow cytometry, imaging or other advanced technique applied to drug discovery activities
  • Strong data science and programming skills in R and/or Python, deep knowledge of relevant bioinformatics tools
  • Demonstrated experience developing highly performant analysis pipelines / workflows including use of popular orchestration languages such as Nextflow, WDL, CWL, etc.
  • Strong scientific rigor with evidence of delivering high quality, reproducible analysis
  • Excellent communication, presentation and team leadership skills with an eagerness for feedback and continuous improvement
  • Passion, curiosity, and growth mindset coupled with deep commitment to an open and collaborative working environment
