Salary range: A reasonable salary range estimate for this position is $70,997 - $84,752 annually. The posted UC academic salary scales ( https://www.ucop.edu/academic-personnel-programs/compensation/index.html ) sets the minimum pay determined by rank and/or step at appointment.

Position description
The Shu Chien-Gene Lay Department of Bioengineering ( https://be.ucsd.edu/ ), which administers undergraduate and graduate degree programs for the Jacobs School of Engineering, invites applications for temporary, non-tenure track lecturers (Unit 18). Courses may include undergraduate lower- and upper-division courses in the Department's undergraduate majors, which include Bioengineering, Bioengineering/Biotechnology, Bioengineering/BioSystems and Bioengineering/Bioinformatics, undergraduate degree majors and in our graduate degree programs.

Qualifications
Basic qualifications (required at time of application)
PhD or advancement to candidacy in Bioengineering, a related Engineering or Health Sciences discipline.
Minimum of one quarter or semester teaching one or more courses at the undergraduate or graduate level, either as Instructor of Record or as a Teaching Assistant. Will consider equivalent industry experience such as presenting one or more seminars, or conducting one or more trainings.
