Bio recovery technicians are professionals trained to safely clean, disinfect, and remove hazardous biological materials from crime scenes, accidents, trauma incidents, or locations affected by infectious diseases. Their work involves handling substances like blood, bodily fluids, and other potentially infectious materials, ensuring that sites are fully restored to a safe condition. They follow strict safety protocols and use specialized equipment and cleaning agents to prevent the spread of pathogens. Bio recovery technicians often work in emotionally challenging environments and must adhere to legal and health regulations.

Familiarity with personal protective equipment (PPE), cleaning/disinfection chemicals, and specialized decontamination tools is typically required.
