The Business Development Specialist - Cell Therapy supports early-stage and emerging customer accounts in the rapidly growing immune cell and regenerative medicine markets.This role focuses on prospecting, leading first-level technical & commercial conversations, and advancing opportunities from RUO-to-GMP by presenting Bio-Techne workflow solutions across reagents and scale-up platforms.Thisa customer-facing role for individuals with a strong scientific background, presentation skills, and early commercial experience who can effectively engage and grow research, pre-clinical, and early phase cell therapy accounts.Critically, this roleidentifyneeds and collaborates closely withBusiness Development Managers and Strategic Partnership Manager to convert opportunities into long-term relationships.

Location: Remote (USA), Hybrid (Minneapolis)

Travel Expectations: Up to 30%

Key Responsibilities

Prospecting and Emerging Account Development

  • Identifynew regenerative medicine and immune cell therapy accounts through outbound prospecting, conference attendance, and digital solutions engagement

  • Qualify early-stage opportunities, mapping customer flows andidentifyingbest fits for Bio-Techne's solutions

  • Conduct quarterly onsite customer visitswith new and current customersto deepen relationships, present solutions, and uncover unmet needs

Commercial and Technical Engagement

  • Lead early discovery calls to understand customer challenges in RUO-to-GMP scale-up and manufacturing

  • Present Bio-Techne's Cell Therapy portfolio with clarity and scientific credibility, while tailoring the message to academic, biotech, emerging biopharma, and CDMO audiences

Pipelineand Cross-Functional Communication

  • Maintainaccurateopportunity tracking and forecasting within SalesForce.com

  • Partner with Business Development Managers and other commercial team members whereappropriate tosupport emerging, fast-moving accounts to support clinical inflection points

  • Deliver customer-specific presentations and demonstrations both on your own and in collaboration with Product Management and other commercial team members in the Analytical Solution and Reagent Solutions team

Market Intelligence

  • Closelymonitorcompetitive activity, new market entrants, and evolving technologies, reporting these insights through theappropriate operatingmechanisms

  • Support identification of key opinion leaders and engage with early-phase innovators in cell therapy to best ambassador Bio-Techne's solutions

Customer Experience

  • Ensuretimelyfollow-up, technical resource coordination, and smooth handoffs to internal stakeholders to provide customer-centric solutions

  • Provide an outstanding customer experience through responsiveness, preparation, and solution-oriented communication

  • Ensure current key customers are being managed proactively, effectively, in partnership with the Business Development Managers and Advanced Cell Systems business

Required Experience & Capabilities

  • MinimumofBachelor's Degreein relevant field to the position (e.g.Cell Biology,Immunology,Biochemistry)and3+ years of relevant,progressive experienceina scientific, technical sales, commercial support, field applications

  • Experience in life sciences, biotech, or life science tools (preferably in Cell Therapy) managing high-value pharma/biotech partnerships

  • Strong understanding of cell therapy workflows (immune cell isolation, expansion, iPSC workflow, and RUO-to-GMP transitions)

  • Excellent presentation, communication, and storytelling skills

  • Ability to travel at least quarterly for customer visits with occasional conferences

  • Motivated self-starter comfortable with outbound prospecting and ability to synthesize customer needs into actionable opportunities

  • Collaborative mindset
