Job Summary:

$10,000 Sign on Bonus for external candidates with a 2 year commitment

As a Medical Laboratory Scientist, you perform complex lab tests essential for diagnosing, treating, and preventing a variety of medical conditions.

You will use critical thinking as you evaluate and solve problems related to biological specimens that you analyze, and you will provide interpretation of those tests.

When questions arise regarding results or factors affecting results, you serve as the expert when answering. You also act as a connector to foster effective communication between the lab and health care teams.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Doctoral, Master's or Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological, clinicallaboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution, or transcripts showing 60 semester hours from an accredited institution indicating 24 semester hours of medical technology courses or 24 semester hours of science courses that include 6 semester hours in chemistry, 6 semester hours of biology, and 12 semester hours of chemistry, biology, or medical technology in any combination, OR meet an alternate qualification route for Testing Personnel for High Complexity Testing
  • American Society of Pathology (ASCP) MLS or Categorical eligible at time of hire with certification achieved within one year of hire.
