This role is remote, providing a supportive work environment that fosters collaboration among mental health professionals. You will engage with a dynamic team dedicated to advancing patient care without the burden of on-call obligations. Your work hours will be structured, focusing on Monday through Friday, ensuring a balanced work-life integration while allowing you to serve clients effectively.

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess the emotional, psychological, and behavioral components affecting weight management, particularly in patients with obesity and binge eating issues.
• Apply standardized assessment tools to inform treatment planning and implementation of tailored interventions.
• Facilitate one-on-one counseling sessions, focusing on emotional and behavioral factors that influence patients’ relationship with food and body image.
• Create individualized treatment programs based on each patient's unique needs, motivations, and objectives regarding weight management.
• Educate clients about the psychological dynamics of weight control, including self-esteem, body image, and stress management strategies.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and mindfulness practices to aid clients in achieving lasting behavior modification.
• Lead or co-facilitate group therapy sessions, encouraging peer support and communal learning through shared experiences.
• Collaborate with a diverse healthcare team—physicians, nutritionists, and physical therapists—to ensure a holistic approach to patient well-being, addressing both mental and physical health.
• Monitor and document patient progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans as needed to reflect evolving patient needs and responses.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records using EPIC EMR software, ensuring thorough documentation of all interactions, progress notes, and treatment adjustments.
• Keep abreast of the latest research and developments in mental health and weight management, actively participating in workshops and training opportunities for continuous professional growth.
• Adhere to ethical standards and confidentiality protocols, consistently offering compassionate and culturally competent care.
• Engage in team meetings and case discussions, contributing to a cohesive team environment focused on patient success.

The primary clientele served within this role consists of individuals struggling with obesity and binge eating disorders. You will work closely with diverse patients who face complex emotional challenges relating to food, self-image, and health. Your expertise will not only enhance their understanding but also empower them to develop effective coping strategies.

• A minimum of a master’s degree in mental health counseling or a related field is required.
• Must possess an unrestricted Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) license with the ability to practice in Washington state.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for effective patient interactions.
• Comfortable with occasionally lifting up to 15lbs to accommodate potential telehealth equipment needs.
• Must demonstrate specific vision abilities including near and far vision, color distinction, and clarity of focus.

Candidates experienced in treating obesity or binge eating disorders will be prioritized. Familiarity with EPIC EMR or similar electronic record systems is advantageous. Experience conducting both individual and group therapy sessions is highly sought after.

The offered salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 105,000 annually, commensurate with experience and expertise.
