As a BIM Technician, you will play an important role in preparing construction documents that bring large-scale projects to life. You will work closely with senior staff while gaining exposure to architectural, structural, and MEP coordination. This position offers the chance to sharpen your technical skills in CAD and BIM software, explore programming for automation, and grow your career in a collaborative and supportive environment 


Summary


The BIM Technician is responsible for assisting in the preparation of construction documents for ATMI projects. This includes CAD and BIM modeling of plans, components, and connections, as well as reports needed for production and erection. The role involves coordination of architectural, civil, structural, and MEP plans, elevations, and details under the direction of senior staff.


Responsibilities

  • Prepare all work in accordance with approved office processes, formats, and standards
  • Perform engineering analyses and calculations on assigned tasks under the direction of engineering staff
  • Prepare required documents in CAD or BIM software under the direction of engineering staff
  • Assist with sales prospects by developing presentations using Revit, Tekla, or other 3D modeling platforms
  • Perform tasks accurately and on time while seeking guidance as needed
  • Manage other staff members when assigned as a Task Leader
  • Meet task deadlines and adhere to budgeted hours
  • Participate in external and in-house seminars and training sessions
  • Contribute to the development of in-house processes, checklists, and standards
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Associate degree in a technical field plus four years of relevant work or industry experience, or a bachelor's degree in Architectural, Civil, Industrial, or Structural Engineering, or in Architecture with equivalent experience
  • Proficiency or working knowledge of CAD and BIM platforms including AutoCAD, Revit, and Tekla or equivalent
  • Work from verbal and written technical direction from senior staff while reading and interpreting technical and construction documents
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Collaborate effectively within a diverse team environment and communicate clearly
  • Organize and manage time efficiently while planning and performing tasks with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Continuously develop skills through independent learning and check own work for accuracy and quality
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office, Adobe, and Bluebeam software
  • Interest in learning open source programming and APIs using C# and developing in-house applications
