The Research Billing Sr Associate will act as subject matter expert for research billing process development and maintenance. Manage and maintain research specific billing with an interdisciplinary team while working to continually optimize the system to deliver a product that makes efficient use of resources and meets the needs of researchers across the continuum. May fulfill multiple roles throughout the design, development, implementation, coordination and ongoing support of research billing systems. Leads the development of a new process, testing and re-evaluation of that process, documentation of workflows and reports related to research billing. Have a broad understanding of the functionality of the system and knowledge of research work flows in order to lead organizational initiatives to develop efficiencies and functionality in the billing system specific to research.
Required Qualifications: Research Billing Sr Associate
• Minimum of two years health care compliance experience in Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) regulations or Clinical Research Administration to include planning and budgeting required.
• High school education or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare, scientific, or related field OR equivalent combination of education/experience combined (one year of education equals one year of experience) required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
• Excellent time management skills required.
• Ability to work efficiently under deadlines required.
• Strong organizational skills required.
• Independent problem solving skills and self-directed work experience required.
• Ability to lead, develop, and efficiently contribute to project teams required.
• Ability to demonstrate competent leadership skills required.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills required to include reports, publications and professional presentations.
Preferred Qualifications: Research Billing Sr Associate
• Experience with billing and Epic systems preferred.
