Manager, Global Billing Operations Build a scalable, SOX-compliant billing and collections workflow across global entities

About The Role

Recorded Future is seeking an experienced Manager, Global Billing Operations to lead and scale our billing processes across a global customer base. This role owns the translation of complex SaaS contracts into accurate, timely, and compliant billing outcomes, while also overseeing collections and ensuring efficient cash realization. You will partner closely with RevOps, Deal Desk, Sales and Finance leadership to ensure billing processes are scalable, auditโ€‘ready, and aligned with business growth. This role requires a balance of handsโ€‘on operational execution, strong judgement, and process ownership, with a focus on automation, continuous improvement, and crossโ€‘functional alignment.

This role requires working from the Recorded Future office in Boston, MA at least 2 days per week, with additional team and company events/onsite meetings as needed.

What Youโ€™ll Do:

Billing Operations & Collections

  • Own global billing operations, ensuring accurate and timely invoice generation aligned with contract terms, pricing structures, and booking policies
  • Manage the endโ€‘toโ€‘end invoicing lifecycle postโ€‘Closed Won, including billing setup, validation, and delivery
  • Ensure alignment across Salesforce, contract terms, and NetSuite to minimize downstream errors and revenue impact
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex billing issues, disputes, and exceptions
  • Lead collections processes, including AR aging, followโ€‘ups, and dispute resolution
  • Monitor and drive performance against key metrics such as DSO, past due balances, and collection effectiveness
  • Ensure timely and accurate cash application and reconciliation

Process Ownership & Optimization

  • Own and continuously improve billing and AR processes to drive scalability and efficiency
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities across systems and workflows
  • Standardize processes across regions, entities, and customer segments

Crossโ€‘functional Partnerships

  • Partner with Deal Desk and RevOps to a seamless transition from deal structure to billing execution
  • Partner with Sales and customer stakeholders to resolve payment delays and escalations
  • Collaborate with Revenue Accounting to ensure alignment with revenue recognition requirements and audit standards

Controls, Compliance & Audit

  • Ensure billing and AR processes are SOXโ€‘compliant and auditโ€‘ready
  • Own execution and documentation of key billing and AR controls
  • Support external audits, including documentation, walkthroughs, and issue resolution
  • Maintain compliance with global tax, invoicing, and regulatory requirements

Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a highโ€‘performing Global Billing Operations team
  • Establish clear goals, priorities, and performance expectations
  • Drive a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and customer focus
What Youโ€™ll Bring: Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in billing operations or finance operations, preferably in SaaS or technology
  • 3+ years of people management experience
  • Strong Order to Cash experience
  • Strong experience with NetSuite and Salesforce
  • Deep understanding of billing processes, invoicing structures, and collections workflows
  • Experience operating in a highโ€‘growth, complex deal environment
  • Experience with automation, AI, or process improvement initiatives
  • Strong analytical, problemโ€‘solving, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with ASC 606 and revenue recognition considerations
  • Experience with marketplace billing (AWS, Azure) and thirdโ€‘party invoicing tools (e.g., Coupa, Ariba)
  • Exposure to Government portal WAAF, including tax and multiโ€‘entity environments

The base salary range for this fullโ€‘time position is $92,000-$137,500. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The salary displayed reflects the range for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by state, work location and additional factors, including jobโ€‘related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This position may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, and medical, dental, vision, life insurance and 401K.
