Our Media Operations team plays a key role in implementing the organization's strategic vision and enabling operational excellence. Working in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth business practice.   

The Associate, Media Buy Enablement of Operations plays a critical role in ensuring that buy management activities and deliverables are executed on time at a high-quality level. 

In this role you will be responsible for coordinating and executing all day-to-day campaign buy administration activity for assigned client brands and campaigns, under the direction of a Media Operations Supervisor or Manager. You are a key team member, working within our buy management processes and systems to ensure client orders are processed and monthly bill/pay activities are managed throughout the buy management process, within client approved budgets. This role includes developing positive and assertive relationships with planning and trading teams to effectively implement the client order, buys, billing, actualization and payments, in accordance with GroupM Standard Operating Procedures.    

Key Accountabilities: 

  • Day to Day pro-active coordination and execution of campaign initiation, activation, actualization and reconciliation activities in the campaign/buy lifecycle / RACI for your designated clients/brands and team 
  • Works progressively to owning process and being able to quality assurance review of campaign inputs and changes, ensuring accurate and seamless execution 
  • Establish a meaningful relationship with planning, trading and hybrid teams at the agency and GroupM Services to ensure key deliverables required for smooth campaign buy management processes 
  • Ensure campaign timelines are adhered to in the client order, bill and pay processes; 
  • Interpreting tactical plan template and uploading it to Prisma which includes but is not limited to: 
    • Using client-driven taxonomy worksheets to generate placement names 
  • Ensuring use of appropriate vendor codes 
  • Maintaining accuracy in rate, rate types, flighting, package budgets etc. 
  • Ensuring proper tag/tracker dimensions  
  • Consult and guide all stakeholders on Standard Operating Procedures and Best Practices in a tactful, but assertive method, leveraging Operations managerial support or counsel, when needed 
  • Adhoc campaign updates/adjustments as requested ensuring "planned" financials are in order 
  • Participation in planning team internal status meetings to provide updates/raise concerns 
  • Responsible for actualization of dollars by placement by campaign in Prisma 
  • Resolve and clear invoice discrepancies with vendors and media teams 
  • Progressively work across and evolve your knowledge of different buy management / administration platforms, including Mediaocean and related systems

Knowledge & Skills Required: 

  • College Diploma in a Marketing, Financial, or Project Management field, or equivalent experience is an asset
  • Advanced computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Teams and Planner, workflow tool is an asset
  • Strong organizational skills, detailed-oriented
  • Strong math skills and ability to speak to numbers comfortably
  • Adapt to change and ability to multi-task
