About the Role:
Callen-Lorde is seeking a highly motivated Billing Associate to join our growing patient accounts team. In this critical role, you will play a vital role in ensuring efficient and accurate billing for our patients, contributing directly to our mission of providing exceptional healthcare.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the lead billing contact, collaborating with medical staff to ensure timely patient account generation and reimbursement.
  • Maintain accurate and efficient patient flow through our medical, behavioral health, and dental financial systems.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, answering billing and insurance questions with courtesy.
  • Handle all aspects of the billing cycle, including:
    • Insurance verification and authorization
    • Treatment plan setup and monitoring
    • Claims entry, processing, re-billing, and corrections
    • Payment entry and reconciliation
    • Overall account maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Stay up-to-date on billing regulations and procedures.

Work Schedule:
Callen-Lorde is open Monday through Friday. This is a full-time position
