Job description


SUMMARY 


Responsible for processing transactions in the accounting system for all company accounts related to insurance premiums.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  


Process and track check deposits and transfers to ensure all funds are applied appropriately to ensure each entity billed has paid the correct amount.


Complete check requests for return premiums.


Coordinate with billing staff members to track open receivables, and coordinate with service staff in following up for payments.


Follow up with customer if delinquent and escalate to Manager if unable to resolve.


Track open payables and work with Corporate Accounting to ensure timely payment to carriers.


Perform filing and other general administrative tasks.


Comply with agency management system data standards and data integrity (enter and maintain complete and accurate information).


Other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS 
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE


Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience


Two (2) or more years related work experience


SKILLS


Knowledge of basic accounting concepts and principles


Proficient in Microsoft Office products


Excellent verbal and written communication skills


Good problem solving and time management skills


Good planning, organizational and prioritization skills


Excellent attention to detail


Ability to work within a team and to foster teamwork
