Schedule

  • Full-time: Monday–Friday, standard business hours

What You’ll Do

As a Commercial Sales Associate, you will drive new business growth for Poolie's commercial pool service division. You will identify and pursue prospective commercial accounts (HOAs, apartment/condo communities, hotels, schools, and municipalities), lead the sales process from initial contact through signed agreement, and ensure each new account is set up accurately and handed off smoothly to local branch operations.

You will work closely with the Commercial Manager, Service Managers, Repair Managers, Accounting, and General Managers to uphold Poolie's high standards for account onboarding, billing accuracy, and customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Business Development & Prospecting: Build and maintain a consistent sales pipeline within your assigned territory by identifying and qualifying high-value commercial properties.
  • Site Walkthroughs & Assessments: Conduct thorough on-site property walkthroughs to evaluate pool specifications, equipment pads, chemical feed systems, and service needs.
  • Proposals & Closing: Prepare accurate service proposals, present directly to property managers and boards, negotiate contract terms, and close new business.
  • Account Setup & System Accuracy: Collect complete contact info, establish billing terms (default Net 30), process tax-exempt forms, and enter account details into HubSpot and Pool Brain at close.
  • Compliance & COI Verification: Ensure vendor setup requirements and Certificates of Insurance (COI) are submitted before any service begins.
  • Onboarding Handoff: Notify branch managers via Slack upon closing a deal, participate in weekly account review calls, and remain a supportive point of contact during the initial 30–45 days.

Must-Haves

  • Proven track record in B2B sales or business development
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Comfortable walking property sites, including outdoor pool decks and equipment rooms
  • High attention to detail regarding contracts, billing documentation, and CRM management
  • Strong teamwork approach—able to partner seamlessly with field service and accounting teams
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for client site visits
