Job Title: Associate Play Therapist (W-2)

Starting: November 2026

Practice: Wellness Through Wonder Counseling, PLLC Location: Salt Lake City, UT (In-Office)

Wellness Through Wonder Counseling is a premier professional mentor program and private practice dedicated to neurodiversity-affirming, play-based therapy. We believe the business of therapy should be taught, not feared. We are looking for passionate, growth-oriented associate clinicians (ACMHC, CSW, AMFT) who want to master play therapy and eventually launch their own independent practices.

Your Role

As an Associate Clinician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality play therapy to children and families. You will be a W-2 employee, ensuring you have the support and stability of a team-based environment while you gain your required clinical hours for full licensure.


Key Responsibilities:

Conducting clinical assessments and providing individual/family psychotherapy.

Maintaining audit-proof clinical documentation within our EHR (48-hour completion window).

Active participation in weekly clinical supervision.

Managing your own caseload scheduling and parent consultations.

Adhering to all DOPL and HIPAA regulations.


Qualifications

Licensure: Must hold an active, unencumbered associate license in the State of Utah (ACMHC or CSW).

Passion: A strong desire to specialize in play therapy and work with neurodivergent children and their families.

Professionalism: Commitment to ethical practice, timely documentation, and proactive communication.

Growth Mindset: Eagerness to learn the "business side" of private practice, play therapy, neurodiversity affirming care and participate in a mentorship-heavy environment.


Compensation & Benefits

Tiered Session Pay: $40.00 โ€“ $60.00 per session based on volume.

Administrative Pay: $20.00/hour for meetings and training.

Note Pay: $2.00 per completed progress note.

CEU Stipend: $500.00 annually.

Professional Development: Free supervision and RPT consultation (estimated to start in 2027) (a $1,200โ€“$3,000 annual value).

PTO Accrual: Competitive accrual for all hours worked.
