JOB REQUIREMENTS
EducationMinimum: High School Diploma or GED/HSE accredited by the State Board of Education
Preferred: Associates degree in medical or business related field or certification in medical billing and coding
ExperienceMinimum: 1 year experience in physician office or related medical billing or coding field
Preferred: 1-2 years experience in physician office; experience with medical terminology, healthcare insurance billing procedures and regulations
SUMMARYFile health insurance claims to multiple payers accurately and within timely filing limits
Follow up on outstanding AR, solving problems and closing gaps to ensure appropriate and timely payment
Work credit balances within assigned split
Assist patients with questions about their insurance claims and outstanding balances
Provide excellent customer experiences
ABOUT THE POSITION**Eligible for hybrid work upon successful completion of training**
**Eligible for flexible schedule (Five 8hr shifts or Four 10hr shifts)**
Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm
The Schneck Patient Financial Services team is looking for a dedicated and motivated individual to join our department as the next Billing Representative. In this position, you will work with Schneck's amazing patients to submit their insurance claims and follow up with payers to secure payment for services.
