Job Summary
We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team, to assist with day-to-day accounting functions to ensure accurate financial records and timely reporting.
Responsibilities
General Accounting
• Assist with the compilation of financial statements using NetSuite
• Monitor Daily banking transactions and make entries in NetSuite
• Prepare Monthly Bank Reconciliations for numerous bank accounts
• Make monthly prepaid and accrual journal entries
• Perform various balance sheet account reconciliations
• Monitor for timely filing and compliance regarding Sales/Use Tax returns
Accounts Payable
• Assist with management of Accounts Payable process
• Maintain Bill.com AP automation system
• Process vendor invoices and credit memos in Bill.com
• Analyze, reconcile and record various other vendor related entries into NetSuite
• Process 1099's at year-end
Knowledge, Skill & Other Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in accounting plus 5+ years of experience in general accounting role, with some experience in Accounts Payable preferred
• Maintain proficiency in all software platforms utilized by the company, including QuickBooks, NetSuite, Sage accounting platforms, Bill.com, Microsoft Office products (including Excel and Word), and the Company's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software
• Knowledge of financial accounting standards (GAAP) preferred
• Experience and comfort working in a start-up environment a plus
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Acute attention to detail
• Willingness to adapt to evolving new technologies and processes
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Salary Description
$65,000 - $75,000
