    Manufacturing Application Engineer - preferred bilingual in Korean

    Job Type: Full-Time / Direct Hire 
    Work Location: Onsite (Travel up to 30%)

     Salary: $60K-110K DOE

    We are seeking a Manufacturing Application Engineer to support IT and manufacturing application systems for EV battery production facilities across North America. This role combines IT knowledge with manufacturing operations to support factory automation, troubleshoot production systems, and improve manufacturing efficiency.

    The ideal candidate has experience with manufacturing systems, enjoys solving technical problems, and is eager to work in a fast-paced production environment.

    Job Description
    • Analyze and troubleshoot IT and manufacturing application issues for EV battery plants.
    • Monitor and maintain manufacturing systems to ensure stable and reliable operations.
    • Support system implementations, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance.
    • Communicate with plant users, IT vendors, and internal teams to resolve technical issues.
    • Prepare technical documentation, reports, and user guides.
    • Provide user training and technical support for manufacturing systems.
    • Support factory automation software implementation and testing while working with equipment and PLC engineers.
    • Investigate and resolve production-related system issues in a timely manner.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a multicultural environment.
    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; or
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in Manufacturing, IT Systems, or Manufacturing System Management.
    • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
    • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle SQL.
    • Experience supporting manufacturing systems such as:
      • MES
      • WMS
      • ERP
      • MCS
    • Familiarity with factory automation environments.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
    • Korean language skills are a plus (not required).
    • Experience working in manufacturing or industrial environments is preferred.

    Travel

    • Up to 30% travel required.
    • Business trips may range from 1 to 5 weeks depending on project needs.
