Job Summary:
We are looking for a motivated, reliable, bilingual Assistant Manager to help lead our team in delivering excellent customer service while maintaining high operational standards. The Assistant Manager supports daily operations, team leadership, and ensures a clean, efficient, and positive work environment.

At Mecatos Bakery & Café, we create a warm, welcoming atmosphere where great coffee meets delicious Colombian-inspired baked goods, hot bites, and desserts. Our goal is to share the authentic flavors of Colombia and Latin America in a modern, relaxed setting, providing every customer with a unique and memorable experience.

Store Hours:

  • Monday–Friday: 6:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.
  • Saturday–Sunday: 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth shift transitions
  • Train, supervise, and coach team members to ensure excellent customer service
  • Utilize POS system for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation
  • Monitor inventory to minimize waste, manage stock levels, and coordinate food ordering processes
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards, sanitation protocols, and health regulations
  • Handle customer concerns and resolve issues professionally
  • Help manage inventory, ordering, and cost control

Experience:

  • Proven experience in restaurant management or supervisory roles within fast food, casual dining, or fine dining establishments
