Job description

We are seeking 2 skilled and dedicated Industrial 4 licensed Wastewater Operators to join our team. One dayshift operator (6am to 3pm) and one afternoon/evening shift operator (2pm to 11pm). Weekend and overtime work is required. As a Wastewater Operator, you will be responsible to coordinate activities related to wastewater to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards. Your role will involve performing a variety of duties, including data collection and analysis.

Duties
- Inspect facility, including lagoons, discharge points, holding tanks, and containment areas at start of shift and record.

- Monitor DAF tanks and adjust accordingly to ensure water quality going to lagoon.

- Monitor all wastewater storage tanks (sludge, clarifier, and EQ tank) and report problems to the superintendent.

- Monitor the final discharge and inform superintendent of any deficiencies

- Monitor and decant pond, as needed.
- Record chemical inventory and monitor chemical dosages to ensure proper treatment of wastewater; notify superintendent if adjustments are needed.

- Monitor lab supplies and notify superintendent of supplies needed.

- Coordinate and prepare test equipment and sample preparation for outside lab pick-up and properly record the chain of custody without fail.

- Collect daily water samples; and perform storm water analysis and record data accurately.

- Record all meter readings.

- Answer all work phone alarms promptly and notify superintendent of alarms and conditions found.

- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure all testing is done and recorded without prejudice.

- Collaborate with team members to optimize wastewater treatment processes.

- Record chemical inventory and monitor chemical dosages to ensure proper treatment of wastewater; notify superintendent if adjustments are needed.

- Notify superintendent of any maintenance needed.

Skills
