Mobility Fleet Mechanic (Bikes & Scooters)ย 
Location: Syracuse, NY(On-site)
Pay Rate: $23.00/hour
Schedule: Full-Time (30โ€“40 hours/week)
Shift: 1st Shift (7:00 AM โ€“ 4:00 PM, flexible)
Job Overview
We are seeking Mobility Fleet Mechanics to support high-volume fleet maintenance operations for bikes and scooters. This role is critical to ensuring fleet reliability, vehicle uptime, and operational efficiency across service locations.
This is a hands-on mechanical role ideal for candidates experienced in bicycle repair, scooter maintenance, and light electric vehicle servicing. Youโ€™ll work in a fast-paced, field-based environment focused on preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repair execution.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on bikes and scooters
  • Ensure fleet readiness, safety compliance, and uptime optimization
  • Execute preventive maintenance programs and standard repair workflows
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical issues (e-scooters, mobility devices)
  • Document work orders, maintenance logs, and asset tracking data
  • Collaborate with operations teams to meet service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Maintain tools, parts inventory, and a clean, organized workspace
  • Support process improvement initiatives for maintenance efficiency

Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1+ year of experience as a bicycle mechanic, scooter technician, or fleet maintenance technician
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, repairs, and maintenance procedures
  • Ability to perform diagnostics and troubleshooting on mobility equipment
  • Comfortable working in a warehouse or field-based environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform physical tasks
  • Ability to ride a bike/scooter and operate small fleet vehicles (e.g., golf carts)
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Flexible availability (including evenings and weekends as needed)

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with e-bikes, e-scooters, or light electric vehicles (LEV)
  • Familiarity with fleet management systems, CMMS, or maintenance tracking tools
  • Experience in rideshare, micromobility, logistics, or transportation operations
  • Basic understanding of battery systems and electrical components
