PRN / On-Demand Lead Licensed Behavioral Health TherapistAbout Blue Rose Consulting Group

Blue Rose Consulting Group is a mission-driven professional services firm dedicated to delivering exceptional support to federal agencies and the communities they serve. We provide innovative solutions in behavioral health, program management, technology, and professional services, always guided by our commitment to People First. Mission Always.

We are proud to support programs that make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals, families, and communities across the country.

About the Role

Location: Big Bend Region, Texas (Onsite | PRN / On-Demand)

Wide-open skies. Untamed beauty. Leadership with purpose.

Looking for the flexibility of PRN work while continuing to lead and mentor other clinicians? Whether you're balancing a private practice, consulting, teaching, retirement, or simply prefer a flexible schedule, Blue Rose offers the opportunity to lead when your expertise is needed most.

Blue Rose Consulting Group is seeking an experienced, compassionate Lead Licensed Behavioral Health Therapist to join our PRN/On-Demand team supporting unaccompanied minors in a residential care setting in the breathtaking Big Bend region of Texas.

As a PRN Lead, you'll provide clinical leadership and support during scheduled coverage, vacations, staffing surges, and other operational needs. Every shift gives you the opportunity to mentor fellow clinicians, promote clinical excellence, and help children who have overcome incredible challenges begin to heal, regain hope, and build brighter futures.

If you're looking for wide-open spaces, stunning desert landscapes, mountain views, and some of the darkest night skies in the country, Big Bend offers a one-of-a-kind lifestyle. From hiking and camping to scenic drives and unforgettable sunsets, this is Texas at its most adventurous.

Licensed in another state? Great! We welcome independently licensed clinicians from all 50 states and U.S. territories.

This is an onsite PRN/On-Demand leadership position supporting a critical federal program.

U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.

What You'll Do
  • Provide clinical leadership, supervision, mentorship, and day-to-day support for Behavioral Health Therapists during assigned shifts.
  • Foster a culture of compassion, collaboration, accountability, and clinical excellence.
  • Conduct behavioral health assessments, crisis intervention, clinical evaluations, and treatment planning as needed.
  • Provide clinical consultation and guidance for complex cases while promoting trauma-informed, evidence-based care.
  • Monitor documentation and clinical practices to help ensure quality, compliance, and continuity of care.
  • Support onboarding, coaching, and clinical guidance for team members as needed.
  • Collaborate with physicians, case managers, program leadership, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate comprehensive care.
  • Provide leadership coverage during vacations, leave periods, staffing shortages, or increased program demand.
  • Maintain a limited clinical caseload while serving as the clinical leader during assigned shifts.
  • Advocate for the safety, well-being, and successful outcomes of every child served.

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field.
  • Active, unrestricted independent clinical license in any U.S. state or U.S. territory (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LCPC, LMHC, or equivalent).
  • Minimum of five years of post-independent licensure clinical experience.
  • Minimum of two years of leadership, supervisory, or clinical management experience.
  • Experience working with children, adolescents, families, or other vulnerable populations.
  • Strong knowledge of trauma-informed care, crisis intervention, behavioral health best practices, and clinical supervision.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work onsite in the Big Bend region of Texas on an as-needed basis.
  • U.S. Citizen.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with unaccompanied minors, foster care, refugee populations, residential treatment, or child welfare.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary behavioral health teams.
  • Experience in crisis response or high-acuity behavioral health settings.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Experience supporting federal or government-funded behavioral health programs.
  • Flexible availability to support varying program needs.

Why Join Blue Rose?

At Blue Rose, you'll find more than a PRN position. You'll discover a flexible leadership opportunity where your clinical expertise strengthens both the care children receive and the teams delivering it.

We offer:

  • The flexibility to choose PRN shifts that fit your schedule.
  • The opportunity to live and work in one of the most unique and scenic regions in Texas, surrounded by mountains, desert landscapes, and endless outdoor adventure.
  • Texas has no state income tax, allowing you to keep more of what you earn.
  • We welcome clinicians licensed anywhere in the United States, making relocation easier than ever.
  • The opportunity to lead, mentor, and support a talented team of behavioral health professionals.
  • Meaningful, mission-driven work supporting children during some of the most important moments of their lives.
  • A collaborative team that values compassion, innovation, leadership, and service.
  • Opportunities to transition into full-time leadership opportunities as they become available.
  • The chance to go home after every shift knowing your leadership made a lasting impact on both the children you served and the clinicians you supported.

If you're looking for the flexibility of PRN work while continuing to lead with purpose, we'd love to meet you.

Join Blue Rose Consulting Group and help us create brighter futures...one child, one family, and one life at a time.
