Job Title: Bid Manager (REMOTE)
Job Description
The Bid Manager leads and supports the development of integrated, enterprise-wide sales proposals and initiatives. This role oversees the full lifecycle of RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs, ensuring high-quality, timely submissions that align with business development goals. The Bid Manager collaborates closely with technical and commercial teams, leverages Salesforce and automation tools, and contributes directly to winning new business opportunities.
Responsibilities
  • Lead, manage, and support the development of integrated, enterprise-wide sales proposals and initiatives for clients and prospects.
  • Oversee all activities involved in drafting and preparing documentation for Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Qualifications (RFQ), and Requests for Proposals (RFP), including comprehensive proposals and qualification packages.
  • Manage multiple bid and proposal projects simultaneously and ensure all submissions meet customer-designated bid dates and deadlines.
  • Collaborate with and lead engagements involving the business development team and application engineering team to produce compelling and accurate proposals.
  • Coordinate the development and production of proposal materials with technical staff, ensuring content is technically sound and aligned with client requirements.
  • Prepare and support executive report presentations by organizing and refining proposal content for leadership review.
  • Strategize, document, and maintain visibility of proposals and pipeline activities in Salesforce, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Update and maintain proposal tools using Visual Basic programs, macros, and Salesforce reports to streamline and improve proposal development processes.
  • Apply strong written and editorial skills to refine proposal content, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with brand and client expectations.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and maintain a strong commitment to detail throughout the proposal lifecycle.
  • Adapt to workload demands and deliver deadline-driven proposals, including working non-traditional hours when necessary to meet critical milestones.

Essential Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a similar discipline.
  • A minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in proposal management or a similar role involving RFIs, RFQs, and RFPs.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting strict bid deadlines.
  • Strong written and editorial skills with the ability to produce clear, persuasive, and error-free proposal content.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and maintain a strong commitment to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat for document preparation and review.
  • Experience using Salesforce for documenting proposals and managing opportunity pipelines.
  • Ability to update and work with Visual Basic (this is a hard requirement for the role) programs and macros to support proposal tools and reporting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), the energy sector, or similar technical fields is a plus.
  • Experience with estimation and bidding processes in a technical or engineering-focused environment.
  • Familiarity with generating and interpreting Salesforce reports to support business development activities.
  • Capability to work non-traditional hours when required to accommodate workload and ensure on-time delivery of proposals.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a deadline-driven environment.

Work Environment
This role operates in a remote work environment, providing flexibility in work location while maintaining close collaboration with business development, application engineering, and technical teams through virtual communication tools. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $43.00/hr.
