About This Role

We're looking for sales associates to join our team and help customers achieve their cycling dreams! As a sales associate, you'll focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences and meeting sales goals in a fast-paced and welcoming environment. If you're passionate about cycling, knowledgeable about bicycles, and possess a proactive and positive attitude, we'd love to hear from you!

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to

  • Engage with customers, providing expert guidance on bicycles, accessories, and clothing, and ensuring they have an exceptional shopping experience.
  • Contribute to the daily operations of the store, including restocking, cleaning, organizing, and merchandising.
  • Offer personalized service, actively listening to customers' needs and providing tailored solutions.

What You'll Do

Responsibilities include:

  • Building rapport with customers and using the sales process to understand their needs and preferences.
  • Delivering exceptional customer service and creating a positive, engaging shopping experience.
  • Operating cash registers, handling transactions, and maintaining a secure and organized cash handling environment.
  • Staying up-to-date on sales, promotions, and store policies to provide informed and helpful assistance.
  • Installing vehicle rack systems and performing safety checks to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Demonstrating products, explaining features, and providing guidance on usage and care.
  • Merchandising and arranging products to meet sales goals and create an appealing store environment.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized store, including restocking and replenishing merchandise as needed.
  • Providing personalized service, including fitting customers for merchandise and assisting with try-ons.
  • Managing inventory, processing orders, and preparing merchandise for sale or rental.
  • Selling or arranging for delivery, insurance, financing, or service contracts for merchandise.
  • Performing other duties as assigned or needed to support the store's operations.

Requirements

The following qualifications are required:

  • A passion for cycling and a desire to share that passion with others.
  • Interest in working in a team environment and providing excellent sales and service experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain open and positive relationships with employees and customers.
  • Interest in developing own skills and knowledge, with a willingness to learn and grow.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds on occasion.

  • Barcode scanning technology
  • Cash handling systems and software
  • Desktop computers and Microsoft Windows operating systems
  • Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word
  • Point of sale (POS) software and systems
