About this Role
Position Summary
The Business Intelligence Coordinator supports the Market Strategy and Sales teams by researching, tracking, and maintaining assigned regional data and documentation. This role focuses on data quality, CRM hygiene, pipeline coordination, and basic reporting support. The Coordinator builds strong working relationships across the organization and ensures information flows smoothly so the team can make timely, informed decisions.
What You'll Do
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and deliver data inputs that accurately feed dashboards, reports, and trackers owned by the BI Manager or Analyst.
  • Serve as a collaborative business partner, building strong working relationships with stakeholders across Sales, Operations, and Market Strategy.
  • Partner with Sales to capture opportunity updates, next steps, contacts, and activities; ensure pipeline data accuracy and timeliness in the CRM.
  • Facilitate recurring pipeline review prep (agendas, action logs, follow-ups) and complete timely CRM updates, ensuring clear ownership and documentation of next steps.
  • Act as a liaison for information flow between Market Strategy and Sales, ensuring market intel and status updates are clearly tracked and organized.
  • Monitor RTO/ISO sources (e.g., website postings, queues, schedules) to collect and catalog relevant documents and updates for review by the Analyst/Manager.
  • Summarize basic findings (what changed, links, dates) for handoff to the Analyst/Manager to interpret and convert into insights.
  • Use Excel to perform data entry, cleaning, formatting, lookups, and basic pivot tables to support pipeline and market trackers.
  • Maintain trackers and libraries (SharePoint/Teams/Drive) to ensure version control, naming conventions, and accessibility.
  • Support simple market research tasks (e.g., pulling schedules, compiling contacts, logging events) for growth initiatives and key accounts.
  • Perform quality checks for data accuracy, consistency, and completeness across assigned reporting inputs.
  • Support preparation of basic summaries or lists for leadership readouts (the BI Manager/Analyst will synthesize and present insights).
  • Proactively identify process improvements to make updates faster, cleaner, and more reliable.

What You'll Bring
Required Qualifications
  • Proficiency with Excel (sorting, filtering, basic formulas, data cleaning; pivot tables a plus).
  • Hands-on experience with a CRM (Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, or HubSpot) for data entry, updates, and pipeline hygiene.
  • Strong organization and attention to detail; comfortable managing trackers, versions, and documentation.
  • Clear, professional communication and dependable follow-through across teams.
  • Growth mindset with the ability to take ownership, learn quickly, and navigate a large, matrixed organization.
  • Interest in BI/market strategy and willingness to learn RTO/ISO basics over time.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Exposure to Power BI or similar visualization tools (viewing and refreshing reports; advanced build skills not required).
  • Experience supporting Sales, Operations, or Strategy teams.
  • Familiarity with RTO/ISO planning processes (PJM, MISO, SPP, ERCOT, CAISO, NYISO, ISO-NE) or a desire to learn quickly.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Key Competencies
  • Detail-oriented data management and high standards for data quality.
  • CRM diligence (accurate, timely updates; comfort with activity logging and ownership fields).
  • Collaboration and relationship-building across Sales and Strategy.
  • Organizational excellence (agenda prep, action tracking, file hygiene).
  • Curiosity and learning orientation toward analytics and market topics.
  • Proactive, service-oriented mindset with reliable execution.

Reporting & Team Context
This position reports to the Director of Market Strategy and works closely with the Business Intelligence & Market Insights Manager and the Business Intelligence & Market Insights Analyst.
