How you will make an impact:
The Business Intelligence Specialist I is responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting business intelligence reports and dashboards. The role focuses on creating accurate, user-friendly BI solutions using established methodologies and tools under the guidance of senior team members. The Business Intelligence Specialist I collaborates with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translates these needs into functional BI deliverables.
  • Develop and Maintain BI reports and dashboards using SQL, Power BI, or similar tools.
  • Extract, transform, and load data from various sources into Azure Data Warehouse under supervision.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries to support report development.
  • Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and validate report accuracy.
  • Perform data quality checks and troubleshoot data discrepancies.
  • Document technical specifications and report functionality.
  • Support end-users with report cases, questions, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Assist developers with query tuning and schema refinement as needed.
  • Participate in version control and deployment processes.
  • Maintain data security protocols and comply with company data governance policies.

The skills and experience you'll need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field required.
  • 2+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or related field.
  • Proficiency in SQL
  • Experience with SSAS, SSRS, and SSDT is required.
  • Working knowledge of Azure DevOps or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with Python
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in English both in written and verbal formats.
  • Strong grasp of data visualization concepts and techniques.
  • Experience working in data warehouse environments.
  • Experience in manufacturing industry preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

US BASE PAY SCALE $39.09 - $50.38/hr
The base pay scale for this role is what Meissner reasonably expects to pay for the position although actual pay may vary from this scale depending on an applicant's experience.
