Job description

Job Brief:
A Business Intelligence Developer designs, develops, and maintains data analytics platforms and reporting tools. They translate business needs into technical specifications and create visualizations and reports. Proficiency in database management systems and BI technologies is required. A BI Developer is responsible for translating business needs into technical specification and building BI solutions. They design and deploy reporting tools, maintain data analytics platforms, and create databased to store data. They also conduct data analysis, develop visualizations and reports, and collaborate with teams to integrate systems. They are involved in troubleshooting, improving existing BI systems, and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of data driven solutions.
Responsibilities:
  • Providing development services of processes and procedures associated with receipt, review, approval, and fulfillment of report and query requests utilizing the Odyssey: Testing reports, Formatting reports, Documenting testing results, Creating reports queries, Determining report requirements, Add new up and updated reports to established departmental documentation, Follow established installation processes and change management procedures
  • Provide reports for weekly progress report on programs and projects, weekly report communicating project progress and status, weekly time reporting, and additional reports as assigned by the manager
  • Developing and implementing process and procedures
  • Testing and verification of reports
  • Creating reports in MS SQL Server (Report Builder 2012), Visual Studio, C# (C Sharp), .net and transmitting and reconstructing Extensible Markup Language (XML), and Structured Query Language (SQL)

  • B.S. in Computer Science or related field
  • Demonstrate database and analytical skills
  • Critically think and problem solve
  • Provide excellent communication and mentoring needs
  • Quickly evaluate, learn and prototype new technologies
  • Effectively respond to emergency requests for ad hoc data queries
  • Experience with testing and verification of reports, developing and implementing process and procedures, and performing complex analyses of data interdependencies and relationships
