Responsibilities:
  • End-to-End Power BI Management: Design, develop, and maintain complex Power BI dashboards, including data source integration, and visual creation
  • Data Analysis & Aggregation: Perform daily and monthly data aggregation and ad hoc analysis using Excel and Power BI to support business decision-making.
  • Process Automation: Leverage Power Automate to streamline workflows, transition documents to SharePoint, and automate repetitive data tasks.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with users, stakeholders, and TSA Managers to define business requirements, improve information accessibility, and streamline reporting processes.
  • Project & Milestone Tracking: Plan and organize project activities to meet government milestones; provide progress reporting on program issues, resource requirements, and technology needs.
  • Documentation: Author and update technical documentation and data aggregation guides to support project completion, program transparency, and knowledge transfer.

  • 5+ years of experience in data analytics or a similar role (prior DHS or TSA experience is a significant plus).
  • Education & Clearance: BS/BA degree required; must be able to pass a Public Trust background investigation.
  • Technical Proficiency: Expert-level knowledge of Power BI (including Power BI Server), Excel, and Power Automate.
    • Preferred but not required:
      • Experience working within Agile environments
      • Experience with SharePoint
  • Project & Task Management: Proven ability to manage tasks with minimal oversight, including scheduling, tasking, and meeting strict project milestones.
  • Communication: Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for leadership.
  • Work Environment: Hybrid
    • Primarily remote but expected to be in-office at TSA HQ (Springfield, VA), TSA AJOC (Annapolis Junction) as needed (as much as 1-2 times per week, or less)

Actual compensation will depend on a range of factors, including but not limited to the individual's skills, experience, qualifications, certifications, location, other business and organizational needs, and applicable employment laws.
