The Role

As Peregrineโ€™s Manager, BI + Analytics Engineer, youโ€™ll play a foundational role in shaping how data is modeled, accessed, and used across the company. You will own the architecture and execution of our internal analytics stack, partnering closely with stakeholders across Product, Sales, Finance, and Operations to turn raw data into insight and insight into action.

This is a highly cross-functional and high-visibility role โ€” youโ€™ll work directly with leaders across the business to define KPIs, automate workflows, and level up our data infrastructure. What Youโ€™ll Do
  • Own and scale our data warehouse to support a fast-growing Go-To-Market and product ecosystem
  • Build and maintain ETL pipelines using dbt to integrate data from tools, apps, and third-party platforms
  • Design clean, reusable data models that power reporting across Sales, Marketing, Product, and Finance
  • Create dashboards and analysis that uncover trends in revenue, product usage, and customer behavior
  • Set up data quality checks and alerts to ensure accurate, timely, and trustworthy data
  • Support planning and forecasting by partnering with teams to define KPIs and build forward-looking models
What We Look For
  • 4+ years of experience as a BI Engineer, Analytics Engineer, or Data Engineer in a fast-growing tech environment
  • Strong command of SQL and data modeling best practices
  • Proficiency in dbt, modern data warehouses (Snowflake/BigQuery), and orchestration tools (Airflow, Prefect)
  • Experience with BI tools such as Looker, Hex, Mode, Sigma, or similar
  • Strong product and business sense โ€” you know how to balance technical purity with speed, scalability, and impact
  • Comfort working autonomously and owning projects end-to-end
  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to translate complex concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Located in Washington, D.C. and willing to work in office four days a week
