Body Fit Training (BFT) Santa Monica is dedicated to delivering science-backed, high-energy group strength and conditioning workouts. Our mission is to foster a supportive fitness community that empowers individuals to achieve their health and fitness goals.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Assistant Coach to lead engaging group training sessions and contribute to our community's growth and member satisfaction. This role offers an excellent opportunity for professional development within the BFT network.

Availability Requirements:

We are looking for a coach with flexible availability who can work morning, evening, and/or Saturday shifts. Please indicate your availability for the following times:

  • Mornings: 5:45 AM – 9:00 AM
  • Evenings: 3:45 PM – 7:45 PM
  • Saturdays: 7:45 AM – 10:45 AM
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead Group Workouts: Conduct dynamic, science-based group strength and conditioning sessions, ensuring proper technique and motivation for participants.
  • Ensure Member Safety: Monitor and correct exercise form to prevent injuries and maximize workout effectiveness.
  • Foster Community: Create an inclusive and high-energy atmosphere that welcomes individuals of all fitness levels.
  • Assist in Community Engagement: Support efforts to enhance member retention and satisfaction through active engagement and communication.
  • Collaborate with Team: Work closely with the Head Coach and team to maintain studio operations and uphold BFT standards.
Qualifications:
  • Certification: Current fitness certification (e.g., NASM, ACE, ISSA, or equivalent).
  • Group Training Experience: Proven experience in leading group fitness sessions, comfortable managing multiple participants in a structured setting.
  • Team Player: Strong leadership and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset.
  • Passion for Fitness: Genuine enthusiasm for health and fitness, dedicated to helping others achieve their goals.
  • High Energy: Consistently bring enthusiasm and motivation to every class.
