What are some common challenges faced by BFR (Barefoot Running) Coaches, and how can they be addressed?

BFR Coaches often encounter challenges such as helping clients adjust to new running techniques, preventing injuries during the transition to barefoot running, and addressing skepticism about the benefits of barefoot training. To overcome these, coaches typically provide gradual training plans, emphasize proper form, and educate clients on injury prevention strategies. Collaboration with physical therapists and regular feedback sessions also help ensure safe and successful adaptation.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Bfr, and why are they important?

I'm sorry, but 'Bfr' does not appear to be a recognized real-world professional occupation. Please provide a valid job title for an accurate response.

What are BFRs?

BFRs, or Blood Flow Restriction trainers, are fitness professionals who specialize in using blood flow restriction techniques to help clients build muscle, recover from injuries, and improve performance. Blood flow restriction training involves using bands or cuffs to restrict blood flow in the limbs during low-intensity exercise, which can stimulate muscle growth and strength gains similar to high-intensity workouts. BFR trainers are knowledgeable about the safe application of this method, proper equipment usage, and individual training protocols. They often work with athletes, rehabilitation patients, or fitness enthusiasts looking for effective training alternatives.

What is the difference between Bfr vs Personal Trainer?

CertificationsTypically requires BFR-specific certification and CPR/AED
Work EnvironmentClinics, sports facilities, or rehab centers
Industry UsageUsed alongside physical therapy and sports medicine
Job FocusApplying blood flow restriction techniques to enhance training

While both Bfr specialists and personal trainers work in fitness settings, Bfr professionals focus on blood flow restriction techniques often used in rehab and sports medicine, requiring specialized certifications. Personal trainers provide general fitness coaching without necessarily using BFR methods. The roles overlap in fitness environments but differ in scope and certification requirements.

Overview
Physical Therapist - Join the TEAM!
$76,000 - $90,000/year + Monthly Bonus Potential
Who We Are (And Why We're Different)
At Team Rehab, we're a therapist-owned family of outpatient clinics across Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin, and Georgia. Since 2001, we've operated under one simple truth: Where teamwork makes the dream work. We believe that when therapists are supported, heard, and actually having fun, our patients get the best care possible.
We aren't a corporate machine. We are a community built on clinical excellence and a workplace where people actually love to come every day.
Our Investment in Your Success
We don't just offer a job; we offer a career where we prioritize your growth, your well-being, and your future.
How We Mentor & Invest in You
  • Mentorship That Matters: A 13-week structured mentorship program with weekly 1:1 sessions tailored to your specific clinical goals.
  • Never Pay for a CEU Again: Access to 50+ free in-house CEU events and 40 hours of dedicated CEU PTO.
  • Your Education, Your Choice: $1,500 annually for continuing education or to pay down your student loans-the choice is yours.
  • Residency on Us: We cover the full cost of residency tuition and clinical mentoring hours.
  • Specialty Tracks: Gain early exposure and expert mentoring in areas like Sports, Pelvic Health, Vestibular, and more.

Benefits Built for Real Life
  • Fast-Tracked Health: Medical, dental, and vision coverage begins just 30 days after your start date.
  • Bonuses That Actually Work: Monthly bonus potential and profit sharing that don't penalize you for taking your hard-earned PTO.
  • Security for the Future: A 401(k) with a 3.5% match and ownership/equity opportunities available to everyone.

Tools & Freedom
  • Documentation Made Easy: Access to an optional AI documentation assistant so you can keep your eyes on your patients, not your screen.
  • Zero Red Tape: We believe in earning your loyalty, which is why we have no contracts and absolutely no non-compete agreements for new graduates.

$76000 - $90000 / year
Responsibilities
About Our Clinic
At TEAM Rehabilitation Southgate, we are a therapist-led outpatient clinic committed to delivering exceptional patient outcomes through evidence-based care, mentorship, and collaboration. Our clinicians have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population while developing advanced skills across multiple specialty areas.
Our clinic has a strong orthopedic and post-operative foundation, treating patients following ACL reconstruction, rotator cuff repair, total joint replacement, fractures, sports injuries, and a variety of musculoskeletal conditions. We are proud to offer a broad range of specialty services that allow clinicians to expand their skillset while providing comprehensive care to our community.
Specialty Programs & Clinical Opportunities
Vestibular Rehabilitation
Work with patients experiencing dizziness, vertigo, balance impairments, concussion-related symptoms, and vestibular dysfunction. Clinicians have the opportunity to develop advanced assessment and treatment skills while helping patients regain confidence and independence in their daily lives.
LSVT BIG
Treat individuals with Parkinson's disease and other neurological conditions through evidence-based movement programs designed to improve gait, balance, mobility, and overall function. Therapists gain valuable neurological rehabilitation experience while making a meaningful impact on patient quality of life.
Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) Training
Utilize BFR as part of post-operative and strength rehabilitation programs to improve muscle performance, accelerate recovery, and optimize outcomes while minimizing joint stress and loading demands.
Work Conditioning & Return-to-Work Programs
Develop individualized programs focused on job-specific strengthening, endurance training, lifting mechanics, work simulation activities, and functional progression to safely return patients to their occupational demands.
Dry Needling
Work alongside clinicians trained in dry needling and learn how this intervention can be incorporated into comprehensive treatment plans to address pain, mobility restrictions, muscle dysfunction, and movement impairments.
A Clinic Designed for Growth
We are proud to work alongside clinicians with diverse backgrounds and advanced training who are passionate about mentorship and professional development. Through exposure to orthopedic rehabilitation, sports medicine, vestibular therapy, neurological rehabilitation, BFR training, work conditioning, and dry needling, therapists can accelerate their clinical growth while receiving support from an experienced and collaborative team.
We are also proud to work alongside Wayne State University graduates and consistently value the attention to detail, strong clinical preparation, and enthusiasm they bring to patient care.
What Your Day Looks Like
We empower you to be a clinician, not a unit producer.
  • Connect & Treat: Evaluate and treat patients with an emphasis on their medical and emotional needs.
  • Build Your Dream Caseload: We work with you to see the types of patients you are most passionate about.
  • Collaborate: Supervise techs and work alongside a team that actually has your back.
  • Prioritize Care: Maintain a reasonable caseload (averaging 1.5 patients per hour) because we prioritize patient outcomes over productivity quotas.
What Our Team Says
"This is the healthiest work environment I've been in as a PT. The support from leadership is unmatched."
"I don't feel micromanaged. I feel trusted to do my job well and valued for who I am, not just the work I do."
"To be honest, I wish I had found Team Rehab earlier in my career. It's genuine, fun, and we support one another to succeed."
Qualifications
We're seeking a motivated Physical Therapist who is passionate about patient care, eager to continue developing their clinical skills, and interested in becoming part of a collaborative team environment.
Whether you're a recent graduate seeking strong mentorship or an experienced clinician looking for growth opportunities, we'd love to connect with you.
Our Clinic Director and leadership team are excited to welcome a therapist who shares our vision of helping patients achieve their highest level of function while continuing to elevate the standard of care within our community.
Are You Our Next Teammate?
If you have a passion for patient care, a collaborative mindset, and a Doctorate or Master's degree in Physical Therapy, we want to meet you! Whether you're a new grad looking for your first "work home" or a seasoned clinician ready for a change, we have a spot for you.
