Job description

Beverage Technician

Location: Ballwin, MO, 63011

Primary Purpose of Job

As a Beverage Technician, your primary responsibility is providing equipment installations, repairs, and preventative maintenance to all beverage equipment found at Midwest Petroleum’s retail locations. Most locations have fountain soda machines, but can also include coffee, cappuccino, tea, ice dispensing, and water filtration equipment. All Beverage Technicians take part in the 24/7 on-call shift rotations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Install and service new or existing equipment as needed.
  • Travel between stores and provide routine scheduled maintenance and unscheduled breakdown repairs.
    • Provide scheduled preventative maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot, resolve, and test any issues found in fountain soda machines, coffee, cappuccino, tea, ice dispensing, CO2 tanks, and water filtration equipment.
  • Read and interpret manuals, work orders, schematics, and other equipment documentation.
  • Comply with state and federal regulations.
  • Document all repairs made by producing detailed service reports.
    • Make appropriate recommendations and brief on repairs, diagnostics, and equipment specifications.
  • Maintain inventory of all maintenance supplies and ensure they are safe and in good working condition.
  • Follow company procedures and protocols.
  • Handle any other work assigned at the supervisor’s discretion.
Education and Experience Qualifications
  • High School Diploma
  • 1-3 years experience as a Beverage Technician or in related fields
  • Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving history

Physical Requirements

This position is performed in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to general office equipment, beverage equipment, coolers, and other site-specific equipment/factors. You may also encounter exposure to hazardous materials and loud noises. The job requires the ability to walk, stand, bend, and reach regularly. Must be able to frequently lift, push, or pull weights ranging from 5 to 75 pounds. Ability to work at different Midwest Petroleum stations is required.
