Job description

Please note the minimum age requirement for this position is 21 years.

Overview:

Under the general supervision of the Food & Beverage Manager and the Food Service Supervisor, the Food Service Sales Associate is responsible for the day-to-day transactions, food preparations, sanitization, and general cleanliness of the food service area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Present and sell food and beverage products. Prepare food as directed.
  2. Perform all sanitation needs and duties.
  3. Work special events and tournaments as assigned.
  4. Demonstrate and support District customer service standards.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist Cart & Range Attendants by stocking and managing inventory of all products on beverage cart.
  • Operate beverage cart on course providing food and beverage sales to patrons.
  • Assist related staff with special duties assigned by Food Service Manager.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to drive beverage cart in a safe manner on and off the golf course.
  • Ability to display professionalism with patrons.
  • Possess excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to address complaints and resolve concerns.
  • Working knowledge of basic computer software.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Possession of, or the ability to obtain, Beverage Alcohol Sellers and Servers Education and Training (BASSET) certification within three (3) months of hire.
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, Illinois Food Handler's Certification within one (1) month of hire.
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, First Aid, CPR, and AED certification within two (2) months of hire.

Special Considerations:

  • Must be at least 21 years old at Naperbrook. Must be at least 18 years old at Springbrook.
  • Subject to both office and outside environmental conditions.
  • Subject to modified/flexible work schedules during high volume work periods.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and/or move objects weighing ≤ 30 lbs on a daily basis. Lifting assistance is required when lifting > 30 lbs.
  • Prolonged lifting, stooping, bending, twisting, and standing.
  • Regular onsite attendance is an essential function of this position.
