POSITION SUMMARY
Join the Stratton Mountain Club team and help deliver exceptional guest experiences through expert cocktail craftsmanship and outstanding hospitality. As a Bartender, you are an integral member of our Food & Beverage team, working collaboratively to provide seamless, attentive service for both our exclusive summer private events and winter dining operations. At Stratton Mountain Club, we pride ourselves on creating memorable experiences for our members and guests through professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail. Successful candidates will consistently demonstrate a welcoming demeanor in a guest-focused environment, thrive under pressure in fast-paced settings, and adapt seamlessly to changing service demands. The ideal bartender possesses strong interpersonal skills and a passion for building lasting relationships with our high-end clientele, ensuring each guest receives personalized, elevated service with every visit. This is a seasonal full-time role starting at $8.75+, dependent on experience, tip eligible.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
• Prepare and serve premium cocktails, wine, beer and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and service standards.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with members and repeat guests, recognizing preferences and anticipating needs.
• Maintain a clean, organized and fully stocked bar area in accordance with health, safety and sanitation regulations.
• Monitor inventory levels, restock supplies, and communicate ordering needs to the Food and Beverage Manager.
• Assist with event setup, breakdown and other Food and Beverage operational needs, as required.
• To understand and practice the serving of alcoholic beverages in accordance with Vermont State Liquor Laws.
• Adhere to all safety and sanitation procedures; maintain facility cleanliness and organization of workstations.
• Keep supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or situations needing immediate attention.
• Promote a fair and harmonious work environment.
• Uphold Stratton Mountain Club standards for appearance, service excellence and guest satisfaction at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS
• 2-year bartending experience in a fine dining food and beverage environment and/or high-volume location
• Possesses a proficient knowledge of wine, beer & liquor quality. Background of inventory management, a plus.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Certified to serve alcohol in accordance with Vermont State Liquor Laws.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 40lbs.
• Ability to work flexible, on-call hours including nights and weekends.
• Must be organized, be able to multitask and be able to make quick independent decisions. • Ability to remain calm during stressful situations and adapt well to many different situations and changes.
