About the Role


As a Warranty Analyst, you will track all field service requests and issues, ensuring proper categorization of field activities, including complaints, cause, correction, labor times, part costs and other costs related to each incident. You will maintain accurate vehicle downtime records and confirm consistent methodology across all Workhorse brands. Your role is key to maintaining our commitment to our service providers and dealers to be paid on time and correctly for work that they complete on our behalf and provide consistent and accurate records to the accounting team for warranty claim repayment. You must be comfortable making day-to-day decisions on claims payment. You will use your analysis skills to provide insights too leadership and cross-functional teams on top problems, repeat problems, drivers of long downtimes, and other areas as requested to help improve our products and eliminate vehicle downtime.


What You Will Do

  • Utilize provided systems and processes to create field records for all issues identified.
  • Update field records with additional information on root cause, corrections, costs, labor hours, and other information learned to ensure all needed information is included.
  • Create new labor operation codes and descriptions as needed for bulletins, campaigns, and new parts or procedures are determined.
  • Collaborate with technicians and technical service directors to ensure accurate updates on field records.
  • Confirm and update warranty claim submissions from dealers and service providers to include Workhorse RO numbers, information is correct, rates are correct and all information in the field record is updated.
  • Create new field records for claims from dealers with no open repair orders.
  • Provide requested daily, weekly, monthly feedback reports.
  • Utilize QAD to ensure proper part costs are included in the field record, including Workhorse cost, sell cost and dealer markup where necessary.
  • Maintain the warranty policies applicable to each truck and use the policy to confirm warranty claim submissions received.
  • Maintain warranty cost per vehicle and frequency rates.
  • Operate as a self-directed contributor-organizing meetings, gathering necessary background information, and reporting discrepancies, issues, or serviceability improvement opportunities to Workhorse leadership.

Requirements

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Background: Minimum 10 years' automotive or commercial vehicle warranty experience in a manufacturing or dealership environment. Statistical, data science and/or math background.
  • Project Management: Ability to manage multiple project initiatives and ensure they align with organizational goals.
  • Automotive Technology:
  • Strong understanding of automotive systems, particularly electric vehicle technology.
  • Ability to classify parts to correct vehicle systems.
  • Ability to create and update documents using Office and Microsoft products.
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous environments and developing/contributing to new processes and procedures to help design, build and service our products with excellence.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with diverse audiences.

Nice to Have Experience

  • Warranty administration role.
  • B.S. Data Science or Statistics
  • Certified Service Consultant.
