BC/BE General Surgeon Opportunity

Aiken Regional Medical Centers in Aiken, SC is recruiting a BC/BE General Surgeon for a position with the employed surgical group, Aiken Surgical Associates.

Highlights:

  • Employed position
  • Collegial group of 4 general surgeons and 1 P.A.
  • ASA has a 30-year history in Aiken, is highly reputable, and consistently earns high patient satisfaction scores
  • Group performs full range of surgical procedures using all approaches including robotics
  • Group's current mix includes abdominal, breast/SO, colorectal, dermatologic, endocrine, esophageal, foregut/TIF, hernia repair, upper and lower GI/scopes, thyroid, and wound care
  • ASA has two dedicated ORs at ARMC
  • Nearly 9,000 surgeries a year performed at ARMC

Responsibilities:

  • Support ARMC's mission of delivering high quality, compassionate care to the community of Aiken and surrounding area
  • Provide surgical consults, diagnoses, and pre-operative planning in clinic and hospital
  • Perform full range of GS procedures
  • Post-op management of surgical patients including follow-up
  • Call is 5 days a month

Requirements:

  • BC/BE Surgery
  • Robotic training and interest strongly preferred
  • Active, clear SC license and DEA or ability to obtain
  • Clear background
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Compassionate bedside manner
