Job Overview: Primoris Renewable Energy is seeking a Site Quality Manager – PV & BESS to lead site-specific quality assurance and quality control activities across utility-scale photovoltaic (PV) solar and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. This role is responsible for overseeing site quality programs, monitoring project performance, ensuring compliance with established quality standards and project requirements, and driving continuous improvement throughout project execution. The Site Quality Manager partners closely with construction, engineering, commissioning, and project leadership to identify quality risks, resolve deficiencies, and support successful project delivery. The ideal candidate brings hands-on utility-scale PV and BESS experience, strong quality leadership capabilities, and experience applying continuous improvement methodologies within a construction environment.

Primary Job ResponsibilitiesSite Quality Management & Process Improvement
  • Lead quality activities across utility-scale PV and BESS project sites.
  • Evaluate construction and quality processes to identify risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Partner with site teams to improve workflows, resource utilization, and overall project execution.
  • Lead the implementation of process and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Apply knowledge of PV and BESS construction practices when evaluating site-specific quality risks and requirements.
Performance Measurement & Reporting
  • Monitor project-specific key performance indicators (KPIs), quality metrics, and performance trends.
  • Analyze quality data to identify deficiencies, recurring issues, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Provide regular reporting to project stakeholders, including findings, trends, and recommended corrective actions.
  • Maintain visibility into overall site quality performance and communicate concerns to project leadership.
Continuous Improvement
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma methodologies or similar frameworks.
  • Facilitate problem-solution activities, workshops, and training sessions to address quality and operational challenges.
  • Partner with project leadership to implement lessons learned and best practices.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and proactive quality management across project teams.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with project quality plans, specifications, procedures, contractual requirements, and applicable regulations.
  • Oversee the execution of quality control processes, audits, and inspections.
  • Identify quality risks, nonconformances, and deficiencies and work with project teams to ensure timely resolution.
  • Support corrective and preventive action processes, root-cause analysis, and measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Ensure required quality documentation is accurate, complete, and maintained in accordance with project requirements.
Training & Development
  • Identify quality-related training needs for project personnel.
  • Provide training on Primoris quality programs, procedures, processes, and expectations.
  • Facilitate on-the-job learning, knowledge sharing, and implementation of quality best practices.
  • Support the development of site teams capable of consistently meeting quality requirements across PV and BESS scopes.
Change Management & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Partner with construction, engineering, commissioning, project management, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and address quality challenges.
  • Support change initiatives associated with quality and process improvements.
  • Clearly communicate changes, expectations, and quality requirements to project teams.
  • Build alignment and encourage adoption of quality initiatives across integrated project teams.
Supervision of Site Quality Technicians
  • Provide direct supervision, guidance, coaching, and mentorship to Site Quality Technicians.
  • Assign responsibilities and monitor technician workload, progress, and performance.
  • Ensure required inspections, audits, documentation, and other quality activities are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Reinforce project quality expectations and provide ongoing coaching and development.
  • Support technicians working across PV and BESS scopes.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
  • Hands-on experience supporting utility-scale PV solar projects.
  • Hands-on experience supporting utility-scale BESS projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in quality assurance, quality control, construction quality, process improvement, or project management within the renewable energy industry.
  • Strong understanding of quality practices, construction processes, and quality risks associated with utility-scale PV and BESS projects.
  • Experience with quality management systems, audits, inspections, corrective and preventive actions, root-cause analysis, and quality documentation.
  • Knowledge of process improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends, assess risks, and develop practical solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across field, construction, engineering, commissioning, and project management teams.
  • Ability to influence, coach, and support teams through process and quality improvements.
  • Proficiency with productivity tools and data analysis software.
  • Ability to work effectively in a field-based environment and adapt to changing project requirements.

Physical Requirements
  • Must comply with client and project safety requirements, including requirements related to facial hair, clothing, footwear, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Must pass a physical examination if required.
  • Must be able to climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding, and stairways.
  • Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and work at heights or in confined spaces.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., using assistance for heavier loads when appropriate.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods on uneven surfaces, including dirt, concrete, asphalt, mud, and gravel.
  • Must be able to wear a respirator and other required PPE.
Work Environment

Work is primarily performed at industrial and utility-scale renewable energy construction sites and/or fabrication shops, including PV solar, BESS, and integrated PV/BESS project environments.
