Quanta Power Solutions is seeking a skilled Civil Designer to join our EPC team supporting power sector projects, including gas turbines, renewable energy facilities, battery energy storage systems (BESS), substations, and transmission systems. This role is responsible for developing civil design deliverables and construction packages that are accurate, constructible, and fully integrated with other engineering disciplines.


  • Draft civil plans, layouts, and construction documents for roads, grading, drainage, and site infrastructure
  • Conduct field investigations to verify design feasibility and site clearances
  • Assist with cost estimation, material take-offs, and preliminary design studies
  • Review and validate drawings produced by other designers and drafters
  • Collaborate closely with engineers and support construction activities throughout project execution
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure design integration and constructability
  • Mentor junior designers and contribute to team development and knowledge sharing
  • Support project schedules and ensure deliverables meet quality and client expectations
  • Ability to travel periodically for site visits, field verification, and project activities.  

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Engineering Technology, Computer-Aided Drafting, or related field
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in civil drafting and design, preferably within EPC or industrial environments
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong understanding of civil materials, infrastructure design, and construction practices
  • Ability to interpret vendor equipment drawings and integrate them into civil design packages
  • Strong communication, coordination, and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment
  • Employee may be required to visit job sites, field offices, and customer locations
  • Ability to travel periodically for site visits, field verification, and project activities.  

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting power generation, substation, transmission, renewable, or industrial projects
  • Familiarity with EPC project execution and multidisciplinary coordination
  • Experience performing site development and grading design
  • Knowledge of industry codes, standards, and permitting requirements
