Job Summary:

Engineer who enjoys security work and possesses both deep and wide expertise in the security space.

Location: Farmington, CT

Work Arrangement:Hybrid - on-site four days per week (Monday-Thursday)

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Engineer, implement and monitor security measures for the protection of computer systems,
  • networks, and information.
  • Identify and define system security requirements.
  • Design computer security architecture and develop detailed cyber security designs.
  • Prepare and document standard operating procedures and protocols.
  • Develop technical solutions and new security tools to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and
  • automate repeatable tasks.
  • Assist on designing endpoint agent deployment to provide 100% coverage in and out of the enterprise.
  • Lead execution of penetration testing and communication around vulnerabilities.
  • Write comprehensive reports including assessment-based findings, outcomes, and propositions for
  • further system security enhancement.
  • Flexible in working hours and available afterhours/weekends during service outages and project
  • rollouts.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years' Hands on experience in security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems,
  • anti-virus software, authentication systems, log management, content filtering, SIEM, etc.
  • 3+ years' work experience as a System Security Engineer or related position
  • Experience with network security and networking technologies and with system, security, and network
  • monitoring tools.
  • Thorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols
  • Familiarity with web related technologies (Web applications, Web Services, Service Oriented
  • Architectures) and of network/web related protocols
  • Familiarity with vulnerability management and attack simulation tools.
  • Triage alerts. While resolving in a timely manner
  • Self-starter and ability to multi-task the workday around assigned activities and prioritize with
  • minimum supervision.

The below annualized base pay range is a broad range based on analysis of similar positions in the market. The actual base pay for the position may be above or below he listed range and determined by a number of considerations, including but now limited to complexity, location, and scope of the role, along with experience, skills, education, training, and other conditions of employment. Base salaryrepresentsone compensation of Allied World comprehensive total reward package, which may also include annual incentive compensation rewards.
