Job description

PURPOSE OF JOB:
The purpose of this position is to expose the employee to the daily facets of golf course maintenance. This position will challenge them to the day-to-day challenges of managing turf grass in the transition region of the united states.
GENERAL DUTIES:
This person shall perform maintenance tasks relative to the care, maintenance, protection and preservation of any area of the golf course including greens, tees, fairways, bunkers, and surrounding out of play areas. These maintenance tasks include mowing, seeding, sodding, aerating, topdressing, irritation repair, mechanics, hand-watering, Bermuda grass greens management, spraying, fertilizing, bunker maintenance, and other related job tasks.
PRE-REQUISITES:
This person must be able to operate equipment safely and understand the intended use of that equipment. He/she must be in good physical condition and be willing to work outside in inclement weather. They are expected to train new employees on the proper use of mowing equipment that work on a seasonal basis. Ability to lift/carry 50lbs.
