Title: Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)

Location: Coos Bay, OR
Schedule: Full-Time | 80 Hours Per Two-Week Pay Period | Varied Shifts
Pay: $30.00–$44.00/hour (Based on Experience) + Benefits


About the Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join its laboratory team in Coos Bay, Oregon. In this role, you will perform clinical laboratory testing that assists physicians in the detection, diagnosis, and treatment of disease while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and patient care.


-> Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and complex clinical laboratory testing.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory analyzers and equipment.
  • Analyze and report accurate laboratory results.
  • Utilize LIS and HIS computer systems for documentation and reporting.
  • Follow CLIA, CAP, Joint Commission, and hospital quality standards.
  • Maintain laboratory safety and infection control practices.
  • Troubleshoot laboratory equipment when necessary.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to support quality patient care.
  • Ensure accurate specimen handling, processing, and documentation.

  • Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or equivalent.
  • Must meet CLIA-88 laboratory personnel requirements.
  • Working knowledge of laboratory equipment, including automated analyzers, centrifuges, pipettors, microscopes, and laboratory computer systems (LIS/HIS).
  • Strong organizational, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must meet Oregon state laboratory personnel requirements.
