Position Title:Nursing Analytics Program ManagerDepartment:Nursing AdministrationJob Description:

The Nursing Analytics Program Manager is a highly skilled and motivated nursing leader that oversees nursing analytics, works to optimize the adoption and efficient use of nursing benchmarking analytics tools, drives data-driven decision-making, and optimizes nursing practices to enhance patient care and safety. Responsible for analyzing and interpreting nursing quality indicators and clinical databases to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and ensuring compliance with national standards. Will work closely with nursing leaders and analytics team.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis and Interpretation:
    • Oversee and manage the utilization of the NDNQI, Vizient clinical database, and other benchmarking analytics tools.
    • Analyze and interpret nursing performance metrics, patient outcomes, and quality indicators to identify areas of improvement and best practices.
    • Collaborate with nursing leadership and other stakeholders to present actionable insights derived from data analysis.
  • Quality Improvement Initiatives:
    • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives based on data analysis and evidence-based practices to enhance nursing performance and patient care outcomes.
    • Monitor the effectiveness of improvement initiatives and make necessary adjustments for optimal results.
  • Compliance and Benchmarking:
    • Ensure adherence to national nursing quality standards and regulatory requirements by regularly benchmarking the hospital's performance against national and industry standards.
    • Participate in accreditation surveys and data reporting for external entities.
  • Data Integrity and Security:

Minimum Qualifications:

Education

Bachelor of Science in Nursing required. Master of Science in Nursing preferred

Experience

Proven track record of clinical leadership in the enhancement and support of clinical information systems including the electronic health record.

License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required

  • Active RN License required.
  • Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) certification required upon hire

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in data visualization and analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Excel, SQL) to extract, analyze, and present data effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to draw meaningful conclusions from complex datasets.
