Position Summary
Beyond Podiatry is seeking a skilled, detail-oriented, and patient-focused Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) to join our growing team.
The RVT will perform non-invasive vascular diagnostic studies and work closely with physicians, surgeons, and clinical staff to provide accurate, timely, and high-quality diagnostic information. This role is essential in supporting the diagnosis and treatment planning of patients with vascular disease.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Diagnostic
  • Perform comprehensive non-invasive vascular studies, including:
    • Carotid duplex
    • Upper and lower extremity venous duplex
    • Arterial duplex
    • ABI/PVR studies
    • Abdominal vascular ultrasound
  • Accurately position patients and operate ultrasound equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Analyze and document preliminary findings and immediately communicate critical or urgent results to the interpreting physician.
  • Prepare technical summaries and worksheets to support physician interpretation and final reporting.
  • Maintain adherence to IAC (Intersocietal Accreditation Commission) standards and protocols.
Patient Care
  • Explain procedures clearly to patients and address questions or concerns to promote comfort and cooperation.
  • Review patient history and relevant medical records prior to examinations to help determine appropriate study protocols.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements at all times.
  • Recognize and respond appropriately to patients experiencing medical distress during procedures.
  • Provide a professional, compassionate, and patient-centered experience.
Qualifications
Required
  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) credential through ARDMS or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) credential through CCI
  • Associate degree in a related field, such as:
    • Diagnostic Medical Sonography
    • Cardiovascular Technology
    • Or equivalent clinical training
  • Current BLS certification
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to diagnostic accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively with physicians, clinical staff, and patients

US EDUCATIONAL/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be RVT or RVS.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in lower extremity vascular ultrasound.
  • Current registration as a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) through American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or current registration as a Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International or RPhS (granted by CCI).
  • Ongoing maintenance of RVT or RVS registration.
