Mental/Behavioral Health Tech

Hourly rates from $17.00 - $22.00 per hour based on education and relevant experience PLUS generous additional pay of $2.00 to $4.00 per hour depending on the day and shift - see below for shift details. Are you drawn to helping young people who may be struggling with life or past trauma and abuse? Do you have the insight, patience and compassion that drive you to "connect" to teens who are suffering with low self-esteem, sadness, anger and grief? Our Behavioral Health Techs (BHT/MHT) use a trauma informed care approach to working with adolescents. We will teach you how to apply these principles in an effective and positive manner so you can help us change lives! Your benefits will include: comprehensive paid training program, full benefits coverage on your 31st day of employment, 40 hours of paid time off by your 90th day of employment, double time for holidays (the big six), generous shift differential - additional $$$ per hour depending on your shift, educational assistance reimbursement - 3,000 tax free annually, 401k with company match + discounted stock purchase plan, free delicious and healthy meals while at work & free parking.

Your role as a Behavioral Health Tech (BHT/MHT) provides services to our residents through: active engagement - assisting with psycho-educational groups, physical activities, therapeutic and scholastic assignments and coaching pro social skills by modeling healthy relationship building skills. Empathy and trauma informed care - compassionate listening and re-directing negativity to ensure the resident feels safe which helps them towards healing past trauma. Modeling and coaching - working together in a collaborative environment with their peers helps promote pro-social skills and improves their self-esteem. Safety and security - consistent engagement and supervision of the residents is a priority that will ensure safety and provides much needed routines.

Full time shifts available - PM shift: Tues - Sat (2pm - 10pm) + $2.00 per hr differential Tues-Thurs & $4.00 on Fri & Sat. Weekend shift: Friday & Saturday (6am-2pm), Sun & Monday (2pm-10pm) PLUS choose your 5th (8hr) shift + $4.00 per hr shift differential on Fri, Sat & Sun & $2.00 on Monday.

Your qualifications and skills will include: high school diploma or GED required; bachelors' degree preferred, but not required, in a human service field or working toward a degree. Must be at least 21 years of age or older to apply. Must be able to pass a criminal history background check and drug screen. Resiliency - being able to manage stress in a dynamic environment. Consistency - being a dependable and consistent presence that our residents can count on.
