Job description

Responsibilities
Cook/Chef (Scratch Cafeteria)
Type: Full -time
Hours: (4) Ten hour shifts - 9:30am - 7:30pm (Sunday, Wednesday, Friday & Saturday)
Base pay: $16.00 to $20.00 per hour depending on experience. PLUS ++ $2.00 to $4.00 per hour more for working afternoons and weekends. (Total Pay = $16.00 - $24.00 per hr. w/shift differential)

Benchmark is a residential facility for adolescent boys from all over the country! This is a very fun kitchen job with lots of perks and offers you an opportunity to improve the lives of the boys we serve.

Chef/Cook Responsibilities:
  • Preparing and serving scratch made meals to our residents and staff
  • Cooking from scratch using fresh ingredients
  • We serve about 120 (combined residents and staff) people 3 times a day / 365 days a year!
  • Checking in food orders, maintaining cleanliness, monitoring temp logs, etc.
  • Compliance with all regulatory and health department guidelines
Qualifications
Applicant Qualifications:
  • Experience preparing appealing and healthy meals from scratch
  • Energetic, creative and driven to provide a superior food experience
  • Experience working in a cafeteria-style or similar organization is helpful but not required
  • Food Handler Certification
  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • Must be at least 21 years of age or older
